Events

Kingston History Department, the Centre for the Historical Record, and Cultural Histories@Kingston host regular events. Details of our past and upcoming events are are often posted on this site, as are online resources related to past events.

For example, in the academic years 2018-19 and 2019-2020, the popular Cultural Histories@Kingston seminar and talks programme, which is co-chaired by Dr. Jeremy Nuttall, Senior Lecturer in History, saw events on topics such as a round-table seminar panel on social democracy in Britain, a round-table session on the anniversary of the end of World War One, a seminar on politeness and manners in 18th century England, and a fascinating talk on Black Power in the USA in the 1960s and 1970s. Our Emeritus Professor, Dr. Marisa Linton, also delivered a very well-attended talk on her latest research on the French Revolution, as a prelude to a new book she is currently working on.
