Special Film Event in Kingston: Suffragette

There will be a special screen event in Kingston this coming Friday. The Odeon cinema, Kingston, in conjunction with the KU Politics Society, will screen the new movie Suffragette, as part of the KU Politics Society’s ‘Rights, Camera, Action!’ Political Film Festival.

The film stars Helena Bonham Carter, Carey Mulligan and Meryl Streep, and tells the gripping story of the struggle by women to gain the vote and other rights in Edwardian pre-1914 England, especially in the London area, such as the East End.

All KU students are very welcome to attend.

The screening takes place at the Odeon on Friday, 20th November, 2015, at 1.00pm.

If you bring your KU student card you can get in for just £5 (cash only).

The event, co-hosted by the Politics Department, will also have some special guests. For more information, contact: h.miller@kingston.ac.uk
